Japanese animation is so かわいいです!I still haven't watched Spirited Away...even though I think I own it. Is it really good? I bought too many cheap DVDs in China - only $1 each! Still haven't watched many of them. :)
And to respond to your question about my studies...I think I'm going to focus on contemporary practice of Buddhism in mainland China and Taiwan. I'm interested in the practice of religion in people's daily life, how it colors their world views, their actions...
Before I started taking Japanese this semester, I heard from several friends who have studied Chinese and then Japanese afterwards that Japanese is more difficult and therefore less fun to study than Chinese. So far...I disagree. I don't think it's that difficult...as long as you have the time to study and review. I don't really have that time, so I feel like I'm just barely prepared enough each day. How's it going for you?
hi, my name is Nao, i am japanese university student. im 20 years old, im studying English. i like Miyazaki movie too! especially this movie is great! i watched at theater and i bought a DVD! have you seen another japanese movie? i really like wacthing movie, so i hope we will talk about japan and anything else!
Stephanie, that sounds very interesting! I love learning about religion. Recently, I read an interesting article about Buddhist temples in Japan struggling to survive. I know it is about Japan but thought you might find it interesting as well. In regards to the class, I agree. I feel like am just barely preparing for each day but then forgetting the vocab and grammar points I have memorized in the past. I wish I had more time!
naoさん、どうぞよろしく。わたしはにじゅいっさいです。どうぞよろしく。I like to watch movies too! I have not seen many Japanese movies (yet):(. Do you know any movies you think I should see? I would love any suggestions.
Mikaさん、どうぞよろしく。I also saw Princess Mononoke but I want to see more. Which Miyazaki movies have you seen? Do you recommend any of his other movies? Which ones?
